Required Reading: JUNE [revised]

Okay, it's the beginning of the month, and I need to write down my reading list for June. But first, a recap of the books I read last month.

I had a pretty good month, yes? Despite the lukewarm reaction that I had towards the last title, I thought that the books I read in May were really, pretty good. :)

Now, for June.

I am currently reading this chunkster with Kuya Doni over at the book club, which we agreed to finish within a couple of weeks, more or less.

Death penalty drama.

We've only begun to read it, so I could pretty much kiss most of June goodbye, judging by the length of this novel alone. BUT, I am hoping that I could still squeeze in other titles before the month is over, and I've decided on these two books:

Sci-fi and fantasy!

With all the (expected) drama overload from The Executioner's Song, I chose books from a completely opposite genre. Plus, it's also high time, I think, that I read Ender's Game, and A Wizard of Earthsea seemed to beckon to me from the shelf, so there. :)

EDIT: After hopping over to my buddy Angus' reading list for June, I realized I had committed to buddy-reading Ghostwritten with him at the end of the month.

I'm looking forward to reading another David Mitchell novel after the awesomeness that was Cloud Atlas. Yep, still raving about that one. :P

Chunkster?! Ugh. Those are the thick books I don't like to read at this moment. :D And have fun with Ursula's book. Have you tried 'The Dispossessed'?

Yay! Thanks! The effort is much appreciated. By the way, please check your Yahoo mailbox for The Remains of the Day audio book files. :D

KWESI: Haha, chunksters are OK with me. ;) I haven't read The Dispossessed yet. If I like Earthsea, I'll try that next. :)

BUDDY: You're welcome, haha. And yep, I received your emails na. Thanks! Will try to load them into my iPod. :)

I feel so bad not being able to post my Required Reading list for this month. My blog's still down. :((

But yay to Ender's Game! I have been meaning to read it one of these days too. Maybe when I'm done with A Clash of Kings. Boy, this one is a chunkster indeed. I haven't reached halfway! :D
