Reading (and Blogging) Slump

For the last week or so, I've been quite remiss in my blogging duties. There haven't been any new notes to write on recently-read books, because guess what? I haven't finished reading any lately! At least, not after having concluded my buddy-read of The Virgin Suicides a couple of weeks back. There's the last installment of Filipino Fridays, for the 2nd Filipino ReaderCon, but I've been up to my neck in stuff to rush at work last week, as well, what with the four-day holiday coming up.

Yes, I've been suffering from a reading slump lately. To prove it, I am still in the beginnings of the third chapter of David Mitchell's number9dream, which I picked up two weeks ago, and I don't know why but I just couldn't move on.

The lack of blog posts is a necessary consequence, I guess?

But enough of that.

Last weekend, I attended the 2nd Filipino Reader Conference, and it was a different experience from last year because this time around, I was part of the registration team as a volunteer! :)

The fabulous Registration Team: Jason, Peter, me, Buddy, Joko and Victor

I will no longer write the details of the event. Instead, and because I consider myself as not having fully recovered from my blogging slump, I will turn you over to the two posts from my co-registration team members who have raved extensively about the even on their blogs: Peter and Buddy. :)

See you later, 'gators. :P

I've also been in a reading rut. Blame it on THAT book, hahaha. I'm on the verge of ditching it, really. I hope to recover soon. @_@

I need a longer vacation!

BUDDY: Oh, I am NOT touching it, hahaha! Because it says so, doesn't it? :P

I can totally relate with reading and blogging slumps. My personal blog can attest to the blogging hiatus LOL!

I am in a mildly reading slump too, these days, because I feel hat I cannot give enough concentration to a book after I write down my thoughts on The Fault In Our Stars, which got me really, really, emotionally affected. As to when I get to write down these thoughts, I still don't know. Like Angus, I also NEED a longer vacation! :D
