The First TFG Face-to-Face Book Discussion
Otherwise known as, The First TFG F2F. :D
This post about the event is super-duper belated, I know, and I have no excuse for it other than the fact that, well, I forgot. If not for Angus' (also belated) post and a comment from Peter asking about it, it would have completely slipped my mind (hasn't it already?).
Anyway, I wouldn't go much into the details of the discussion itself. Suffice to say though that it was intellectually and intensely stimulating. :) The book that was designated to be last month's (January) read was George Orwell's 1984. I've had it on my Kindle for the longest time and so decided that it would be the perfect opportunity (incentive?) to finally read it.
Venue: Baang Cafe, Tomas Morato, QC
Time: 1:30-5pm
Date: January 28, 2012
Present: Kuya Doni (discussion leader), Kristel, Ronnie, Tina, Jzhun, Angus, Maria, Kwesi, Rollie, Po, myself and Aries, a newbie who hasn't read the book yet :D
The February read will be Antoine de Saint-Exupery's The Little Prince, which is slated for next week. Unfortunately, I already have somewhere else to be on the scheduled date of the discussion, so I will have to sit this one out. Maybe March? :)
