Required Reading: JUNE [revised]
Okay, it's the beginning of the month, and I need to write down my reading list for June. But first, a recap of the books I read last month.
I had a pretty good month, yes? Despite the lukewarm reaction that I had towards the last title, I thought that the books I read in May were really, pretty good. :)
Now, for June.
I am currently reading this chunkster with Kuya Doni over at the book club, which we agreed to finish within a couple of weeks, more or less.
We've only begun to read it, so I could pretty much kiss most of June goodbye, judging by the length of this novel alone. BUT, I am hoping that I could still squeeze in other titles before the month is over, and I've decided on these two books:
Sci-fi and fantasy!
With all the (expected) drama overload from The Executioner's Song, I chose books from a completely opposite genre. Plus, it's also high time, I think, that I read Ender's Game, and A Wizard of Earthsea seemed to beckon to me from the shelf, so there. :)
EDIT: After hopping over to my buddy Angus' reading list for June, I realized I had committed to buddy-reading Ghostwritten with him at the end of the month.
I'm looking forward to reading another David Mitchell novel after the awesomeness that was Cloud Atlas. Yep, still raving about that one. :P
- American Gods by Neil Gaiman - 5/5
- The Land of Green Plums by Herta Muller - 4/5
- Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes - 5/5
- Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones - 2/5

Sci-fi and fantasy!
- Ender's Game (Ender's Saga, #1) by Orson Scott Card - Oh my husband would be so happy if he knew I'm finally picking this up. :P
- The Wizard of Earthsea (Earthsea Cycle, #1) by Ursula LeGuin - I've heard so many good things about this book and its author, so I thought it would be the perfect time I personally checked it out.

ROLLIE: Hoping so, too! :)
BUDDY: You're welcome, haha. And yep, I received your emails na. Thanks! Will try to load them into my iPod. :)
But yay to Ender's Game! I have been meaning to read it one of these days too. Maybe when I'm done with A Clash of Kings. Boy, this one is a chunkster indeed. I haven't reached halfway! :D
