Book Splurge [7]
Last week, I was finally able to use the NBS gift certificate that I won from a bookish friend's birthday giveaway, and after giving it some thought, I decided to purchase a book by an author he's quite fond of. I know that he thinks highly of Marilynne Robinson's Gilead and Housekeeping, so here's what I got:
Also, this came in the mail last week. It arrived exactly 3 weeks after Book Depository dispatched it. Hurrah, it's a miracle!
Just in time, too, for an intended buddy-read with - who else? - Buddy and Maria, a fellow mom and book club member, on the last week of July.
